Comments: Well A Country Practice finished here in England aboutr a year ago and my mam was gutted. I must admit I found that last scene on the final episode highly amusing - WHY did they all stand there like fools and say bye and stuff like that. Rather than being an appropraite end to the story it was more like a comedy. Oh well it's gone now

Comments: My mum started watching A Country Practice on Showcase in Canada and she got me hooked! We've been wondering when the series will end, right now we're at the point where Anna and Tom (vet and cop) have decided to give it try (episode with the truckers arassing Wandin Valley and especially Tom). If that is enough info for you, any idea how many episodes till the series ends for us? Thanks a lot! I've been looking for a web site for this show for over a year! [Note from the webmistress: We have approx. 100 or so episodes to go before the end, which at the rate we are going means we will reach the end in about 20 weeks]

Comments: Someone else who loves Science Fiction/Fantasy (ie. Mercedes Lackey's books) AND A Country Practice... I thought I was the only one!! [note from the webmistress: It gets better -- "Weirdstone of Brisingamen" is one of my all time favourite books. It was one of the first fantasy books I read and I still adore it (now, if only I could steal my brother's copy of it!). You didn't leave an email address so I hope you check back here for this reply -- feel free to drop me a line]

Comments: i would just like to inform all you Canadian acp fans just what Gordon Piper aka "Bob Hatfield" has been alledgedly getting up to in real life. He is currently awaiting trial on a child sex offence. an 11 year old girl to be exact. He lives in a dodgy asbestos house and looks decrepid and old, alledgedly (no really i saw a picture of him and his house). if anyone disagrees with me, i propose a race around the world to decidde. we'll meet at leicester square tomorrow at noon, the queen herself shall drop he checkered flag. on a more lighter note acp is still runnin 5 times a week in australia. woo hoo. from an australian acp fan
[note from the webmistress: Gordon Piper was later acquitted of all charges against him]

Comments: Love your site and was shocked to find out tonight that you didn't even have access at home until now. How do you do it? The search for info on Shane Porteous goes on, I've found out that he is now working on Home and Away as a DJ I think, what a waste ot to show his face! Also listed was his agents name "Rick Rytos Management" (02)9360 5311. I might phone this number some day. It took hours just to find this much out. I also found out that he is doing voice overs for Maquarie Bank commercials. Wha is wrong with those people, lets get him working again in the spotlight. I've never been hooked on an actor before, it's a good thing I'm a Taurus and have the perseverance to prusue this difficult to get info. You are doing a really great job, keep up the good work!

Comments: Your web page is excellent., Wanting to know more about ACP is what got me using the Net. I'm so happy to know that I am not the only one watching ACP. I started watching the series before Simon and Vicki got married. Vicky was at a motel with Terrance and I vaguely remember them being in a tree. Do you know how close to the beginning of the series this episode was? Thank you for being here and I am eagerly awaiting info on the actors.

Comments: Great site! I only started watching when Showcase was showing 1984 but I love the show. I guess it will be over on Showcase in the not too distant future. I'm going to miss it although, there's still Water Rats and Adrenalin Junkies for an Aussie fix. Cheers, Fran

Are you a cat-person, dog-person, or just plain old animal-person?: I like both, i had cats and dogs growing up.
Comments: I love the show A Country Practice, and i was really happy to see this site. The episode when Steve dies you say she got shot. She did'nt get shot her horse did. She die from the to the head instantly. I just thought i let you know. [from the webmaster: orry about that. I had accidentally deleted part of the sentence you're referring to -- it should have read "...accidentally shot Ricky out from under Steve.", not "...accidentally shot Steve". You'll notice it was correct in the character guide. It's orrected now. Thanks for pointing out the mistake. :)]

Comments: Thank goodness there are other people who watch this show. I've never been this involved in a show before. When I go out west to visit my son and granddaughter, I worry that the VCR won't tape it. Don't know what I'll do when it's over. Others may need th ir Y&R fix, but I can't get into that kind of thing. The characters are real, never sensationalised, and I'm still reeling over Steve"s death. Poor Luke. I think he'll be the next to leave the show. One of my favourite characters is Fatso - I've always wanted a wombat. But seriously, thanks for this site. Will there be a support group when the last episode is aired?

Comments: Luke Ross did nor run away and come to Wandin Valley. THe episode in which he arrived involved Frank expecting a young man from the Cross (recommended by the priest that they knew). Frank is meant to be his parole officer. In the episode he is wrongfull accused of stealing a truck and beating up the driver. It is later discovered that he saved the beaten driver and drove the truck to the hospital. After his parole was over he decided to stay in the Valley for the lifestyle. Oh. one mopre thing, the n me of the teacher that Brenden married was Sarah. [Note from webmaster: Thanks Sarah - I've corrected the details. Now that you've mentioned it, I remember some of it myself. Oops!!]
